English Teacher Behaves Herself by Pulling Up Her Skirt
In the Western culture renowned for its rich humanistic arts and literature, a new video blogger on the rise named Tangerine Cat, or 糖心 (tánghēn) as she is called in Chinese, has lately created a flurry of excitement. In her latest Vlog, she appears in a typical classroom scenario, charmingly standing in front of a group of young children who are struggling to learn English. The most intriguing aspect of this Vlog is not her language skills or teaching competence, but her own choice of dressing.
As all her fans already know, Tangerine Cat is fond of wearing petite skirts that perfectly accentuate the curvature of her long legs. On this particular day, however, her choice of skirt was different. She chose a longer, more conservative skirt that fully covered her legs, even when she bent down to interact with the students. Yet, there was something alluringly different about her attire this time around.
The moment she entered the classroom, she grabbed the edge of her skirt and briskly pulled it up to her waist. The children, curious as ever, shouted out in confusion, wondering why their teacher was exposing her legs. But Tangerine Cat did not falter. She explained that she was behaving herself by pulling up her skirt and that she expected the children to behave themselves in a similar fashion – by studying diligently and respecting their teacher.
For a few moments, the class was still. But soon enough, one of the children raised his hand and asked if Tangerine Cat was actually going to give them a lesson, or if this was just some kind of teasing game. Tangerine Cat simply smiled and began her lesson. In that moment, the children were captivated, more by her sincerity and professionalism than by her appearance.
All in all, Tangerine Cat's gambit of pulling up her skirt, while at once flirtatious and serious, had proved effective in motivating her young English learners. Instead of objectifying the female form as many critics would argue, Tangerine Cat had used her body and her femininity in a positive way to grab the attention of her students and hold it, using her own sexuality to promote learning and discipline – a unique teaching strategy indeed.
